In partnership with Planteray Rum, the resort has created the world’s first certified underwater ageing of rum in glass bottles by a resort. Resting 10 metres below the surface in the UNESCO-protected Baa Atoll, the bottles matured for a year, shaped by gentle currents and steady ocean temperatures. The inaugural batch emerged with remarkable smoothness and complexity to toast the opening of the resort in December.
