|CHAIR - CHRIS THATCHER - Group Chairman, ANGLO-THAI LEGAL CO., LTD.|
I have been a member of the Board for some while now and firmly believe the members are the reason that the BCCT exists. Their needs and expectations lie at the heart of everything that the Chamber does. Board members carry the responsibility for ensuring that this is translated into action. Although often elected from larger companies the quality of the Board comes from the individuals who serve the BCCT. It is, in my view, important to keep a balance between the larger companies and the majority of BCCT companies that are in the Micro or SME community.
During my time on the Board I have attended most BCCT events and Board meetings as well as representing the BCCT from time to time at other events.
I have lived in Thailand since 2003 and came here to run a World Bank Education project working for the government of Thailand. Previously, I was a Head teacher in the UK for 20 years and became the National President of the National Association of Headteachers in 1999. I am now the Chairman of Anglo-Thai Legal and am currently one of the Vice Chairs of BCCT.
Additionally, I chair the Events Group and am also a member of the Legal Group and the D&T Group as well as offering support to the newly established Young Professionals Group.
Members are at the heart of the BCCT and, as a membership organisation, it exists primarily for the benefit of its members. No organisation is perfect but neither should it be complacent and the BCCT Board should always be striving to make the Chamber even better. With your support, I will seek to assist in ensuring that the chamber continues to find ways to improve in whatever way that it can.
I seek your vote to allow me to continue working for members and I assure you that I will continue to represent your views within the Board of Directors if you re-elect me.

|VICE CHAIR - ANDREW MCBEAN - Chief Executive Officer, PKF HOLDINGS (THAILAND) LIMITED|
I commit to be an active board director on behalf of the membership. Being active to me goes beyond turning up for meetings/networking but rather being active in committees, discussions, and events, also acting as a conduit to the board of member views and feedback, and driving results through enthusiastic participation. I am a businessman and probably my main interest is how to stimulate both trade for our BCCT members in Thailand, but also that of UK companies. This is especially important as we head in to some profound changes both globally and in the UK and Thailand. I would like to see closer and more active trade between the UK and Thailand and particularly one that benefits BCCT members recognizing that a great many of our members are SMEs.
In my working role in Thailand I am the Thailand CEO of the global accounting firm PKF. Our offices are in Chong Nonsi and we are also the only global accounting firm with an active branch in the Eastern Seaboard. Previous to working at PKF I was a Partner at Grant Thornton, Senior Vice President at dtac and General Manager of Microsoft Thailand.
I have been living and working in Thailand for nearly 16 years and I became a Thailand Permanent Resident in 2012. I was previously an active Board member for BCCT for 4 years, chairing the Overseas Business Networking Steering Group comprising members of the BCCT board and embassy UKTI staff and also chair of the BCCT ICT (as it was then) committee. I stepped down from the board about 3 years ago as I was studying for an Open University BSc degree and I did not feel I could commit the necessary time to the Board that it required at that time, a situation which has now changed.
